I believe that meditation is the best way to develop your intuition. When you are able to quiet the mind, you have a better chance of discovering your own inner wisdom. Keep an open mind. And practice, practice, practice. Any ability will diminish if you don’t apply yourself. As far as learning to read tarot cards – anyone can learn the meanings of the cards, but if you are not tuned in to your intuition, it is like playing an instrument without a sense of rhythm.
Tarot cards have been around for a long time. Originally, they were a game (in fact, they are still played as a game in some parts of the world). A tarot deck is comprised of 78 cards. A reader uses the tarot as a tool to tap into their intuition and to divine the future. Tarot can also be used as a creative prompt, for self development and more. It’s quite versatile.
In my long career, I have worked with clients from all walks of life – from homemaker to CEO. If you like a “no nonsense” approach, and are willing to take command of your problems, then I am the reader for you. If you are a “victim of life” and feel fatalistic or think you are cursed, then I am not the reader for you. I believe in the power of tarot to empower my clients. If you have a closed mind and are expecting me to do “parlor tricks” such as reading your mind, then please do not bother using my services – I am not a trained poodle and find this attitude to be extremely disrespectful. I do not like to work with clients who are coerced to come here unwillingly – this is not conducive to a good reading. I also do not work with people who are rude or disrespectful, pushy, aggressive, extremely anxious or desperate acting.
I use a combination of tarot cards and astrology and I also tune into your energy. It doesn’t matter if you are sitting directly in front of me or if you are somewhere across the pond – as long as you approach me with an open mind. I do believe that a quiet environment is best as there are little distractions and I am better able to pick up on things. Tarot is a tool – a tarot reader looks at the symbols and patterns and then tries to piece together how it fits for you.
Everyone has “psychic ability” to some degree (just ask any cop who has to rely on ‘hunches’!). This is a natural God-given trait but some of us use this differently. I don’t consider myself “special” or “talented”, I am merely an instrument – tapping into universal energy and giving guidance to those who need it. For tarot, I not only look at the cards, but I try to feel what those cards mean for the client – the cards have many different interpretations and intuition helps me to feel out which interpretation is right for the client. Two people can have the exact same cards in the exact same layout but it may mean different things. Intuition helps to sort it out. Sometimes I also just “get a vibe” which has nothing to do with the cards at all – just what I am picking up from the client.
In my personal experience, most tarot readers are about 80% accurate at best. NO reader, no matter how famous they are or how accurate they claim to be, can read for everyone. There is always room for misinterpretation and no reader can possibly know ‘everything’. If they did, they’d be God! And please remember – if you don’t like something said in a reading, you CAN change the outcome. YOU are ALWAYS the master of your own destiny. The only person who can claim 100% accuracy for your life is YOU. Your actions and thoughts will always determine the outcome. Avoid readers who make you feel otherwise.
Reiki energy is a subtle energy. It is different than electricity or chemical energy or other kinds of physical energy. Reiki energy comes from the Higher Power, which exists on a higher dimension than the physical world we are familiar with. When viewed clairvoyantly, Reiki energy appears to come down from above and to enter the top of the practitioners head after which if flows through the body and out the hands. It appears to flow this way because of our perspective. However, the true source of Reiki energy is within ourselves. This does not mean that we use our personal energy when we do Reiki, but that the energy is coming from a transcendental part of ourselves that is connected to an infinite supply of healing energy.
What one experiences during a Reiki treatment varies somewhat from person to person. However, feelings of deep relaxation are usually felt by all. In addition, many feel a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and surrounds them. As the Reiki energy encourages one to let go of all tension, anxiety, fear or other negative feelings a state of peace and well-being is experienced. Some drift off to sleep or report floating outside their bodies or have visions and other mystical experiences. At the end of the treatment, one feels refreshed with a more positive, balanced outlook.
In a standard treatment Reiki energy flows from the practitioners hands into the client. The client is usually laying on a massage table but treatments can also be given while the client is seated or even standing. The client remains fully clothed. The practitioner places her/his hands on or near the clients body in a series of hand positions. These include positions around the head and shoulders, the stomach, and feet. Other, more specific positions may be used based on the clients needs. Each position is held for three to ten minutes depending on how much Reiki the client needs at each position. The whole treatment usually lasts between 45 and 90 minutes.
Reiki is a very simple technique to learn and is not dependent on one having any prior experience with healing, meditation or any other kind of training. It has been successfully learned by over one million people from all walks of life, both young an old. The reason it is so easy to learn that it is not taught in the usual way something is taught. The ability to do Reiki is simply transferred from the teacher to the student through a process called an attunement that takes place during a Reiki class. As soon as one receives an attunement, they have the ability to do Reiki and after that whenever one places their hands on themselves or on another person with the intention of doing Reiki, the healing energy will automatically begin flowing.
Although Reiki energy is spiritual in nature, Reiki is not a religion. Practitioners are not asked to change any religious or spiritual beliefs they may have. They are free to continue believing anything they choose and are encouraged to make their own decisions concerning the nature of their religious practices.
